Our family of 10 works side by side making all of our hand-crafted products. From the oldest to the youngest there is plenty of work to be found to keep those idle hands busy. When doing our open markets or craft adventures we often let the young ones handle the cash and interact with the customers. We have chosen to homeschool our children and this lends greatly to their interaction with others, mathematics, manners, and sometimes stamina as our booth gets busy at times! We have written a small article on the History of Soap that was printed in one of the papers that is circulated throughout our "bush" communities here in Alaska.

We also own and operate a Soap & Gift Shop;featuring the complete line of our soap and bath products, various sundry bath items (you will love our rubber ducks!), Alaskan made gifts, vintage & cottage-style items, greeting cards, stationary, furniture & wall decor and much more! Here is a slideshow of our shop.

We have a few animals such as sheep, honeybees chickens and a complete dog team. We hope to add a photo album soon. Don't forget to check out our Alaskan link page too.

Our Return policy is 100% satisfaction or your money back.

It Takes Time

Walking through a store the other day, we saw a display of mass-produced toiletry items, all gtft packed and wearing bold stickers, proudly proclaiming "a 68.99 value, now ONLY 25.00", and the like. We can't do that. Oh, we might take a few cents off now and then but not much and not often. Handcrafting our products is time consuming. It is heart consuming.

We research. It takes time. We order. We don't necessarily buy the cheapest ingredients because quality counts. It IS important. So is buying from companies and people who have similar business and product values as we do. It takes time.

Some of our products are months in the making. Our Alaskan Pure, Raw Honey is from our own

bees. Our own hives. All worked and cared for and loved by our own hands. It takes time.

And what you don't see is just as important as what you do see. Birthing kids. Chipping ice out of frozen water buckets. Replacing soiled hay with sweet, fresh bedding. Many frosty, frigid Alaskan mornings and evenings leaning against the side of a warm goat, breath suspended in the air, slowly filling the bucket with the warm, rich, and frothy milk that will soon become the base of many of our soaps. It takes time.

All of our soaps are handmade. We slowly heat the oils. Stir and pour each batch. Mold and later unmold. Turning each bar for better cure. Trimming, feeling, smelling, polishing, and labeling each individual bar by hand. It all takes time.

We like to think of it as an art. Certainly a definite labor of love. You can't discount that.
